The Red Prayer Plant, also known as Maranta leuconeura, is a striking indoor plant that is known for its vibrant, reddish-purple leaves. This plant is native to the tropical forests of Brazil and is popular among plant enthusiasts for its unique and eye-catching appearance.

The Red Prayer Plant typically grows up to a height of around 12 inches and produces large, oval-shaped leaves that are deep green in color with striking patterns of red veins that extend throughout the leaf surface. When the plant is exposed to bright, indirect sunlight, the red veins become more pronounced and the overall coloration of the leaves intensifies.

The Red Prayer Plant gets its name from the way its leaves fold up at night, as if in prayer. During the day, the leaves are spread out, but in the evening, they fold up and raise to form a "prayer" position.
