Calathea makoyana, commonly known as the Peacock Plant or Cathedral Windows, is a beautiful and popular tropical plant appreciated for its intricate foliage. It belongs to the Marantaceae family and is native to the rainforests of Brazil.

The Peacock Plant gets its name from the striking patterns on its leaves, which resemble the feathers of a peacock. The large, ovate leaves have a deep green color with a network of light green veins that radiate outwards, creating an eye-catching and intricate design. The undersides of the leaves are a rich purplish-red, adding to the plant's visual appeal.
